1300 people cared for – Frequency interim balance rescue and police

Date:

For the grand finale of the Frequency Festival in St. Pölten on Saturday, the Red Cross had already welcomed more than 1000 visitors. According to Sebastian Frank, the director of the St. Pölten district office, there were exactly 1,318 people in the morning. A total of 51 people had to be transferred to the University Hospital St. Pölten. Since Friday, the police has again registered resistance to state violence and multiple attacks.

In an interview with APA, Frank described the number of festival visitors taken to the hospital as “still very low”. Numerous minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and sprains were treated immediately at the scene. Nausea and vomiting also play a role, Frank says. The helpers are there until Sunday afternoon. “Then we’ll slowly set up our tents.”

All in all, everything is “orderly on stage”
For the commander of the city police, Colonel Franz Bäuchler, Saturday evening passed “generally in an orderly manner”. Compared to previous Frequency editions, the willingness of some festival visitors to participate has decreased slightly. Bäuchler attributed this trend not least to a different audience composition due to a partially changed musical orientation of the acts.

In terms of weather, there was little consistency and a lot of change for the last day of the festival. The music lovers got a few drops of rain on Saturday night, but this time there were no storms.
