The Carinthian investment management has now filed a lawsuit against the majority shareholder of the airport.
The Kärntner Beteiligungsverwaltung (K-BV) has filed a lawsuit against the majority shareholder of Klagenfurt Airport and the Kärntner Flughafenbetriebsgesellschaft (KFBG) at the Klagenfurt Regional Court.
It concerns lease for no less than 130 hectares
Because in April, Franz Peter Orasch and KFBG leased more than 130 hectares of airport grounds for 23 years to companies in his Lilihill Group, and thus de facto to themselves. The minority shareholders of the city of Klagenfurt and the state of Carinthia were not aware of this.
Because Lilihill did not want to cancel the contract, legal action is now being taken against this lease, according to Martin Payer, CEO of K-BV.
