Terrifying scenes in Vienna-Fünfhaus: On Thursday evening, a 45-year-old man was found bleeding in the street and there was no trace of the perpetrator. The alleged perpetrator was quickly caught by the police – because he had injured himself.
After passersby saw a bleeding person on Meiselstraße in the 15th arrondissement, rescue services and the police were immediately alerted. The 45-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds. Rescuers immediately began taking first aid measures until the victim was treated by the rescue team and taken to a hospital. Police say there is no life-threatening condition.
Suspect also injured
At the same time, the police received an emergency call, which reported a bleeding man and went to his nearby apartment. The officers followed the tip and were able to arrest the alleged perpetrator, a 17-year-old. He had previously injured himself in the act. The suspect was also treated and taken to hospital. The alleged murder weapon was a kitchen knife and was also seized by the police.
