The 25-year-old Amsterdammer was driving his car on Zillertalstraße around 11 p.m. when he caused a rear-end collision near a roundabout, according to the police in the municipality of Uderns. Instead of stopping, the driver accelerated and drove off.

But he didn’t get very far: in Fügen, the suspect eventually lost control of the wheel and crashed into the guard rail on the left. “The force of the impact threw the car back onto the roadway, where it skidded for approximately 200 meters before finally coming to a stop,” police said.
