Terrible alpine accident Friday afternoon in Ausserfern, Tyrol: A 67-year-old German fell 50 meters over steep terrain while hiking in the Tannheimer Tal and suffered fatal injuries. Particularly tragic: your partner (71) had to watch the accident.
The mountain drama happened just before 4 p.m. The 67-year-old German walked with her partner (71) on the so-called anniversary route to the Landsberger Hütte, after which they descended over the Traualpsee towards Vilsalpsee.
Crashed 50 meters over steep terrain
Shortly after the hut it happened: The woman suddenly fell without influence from the path and then about 50 meters over steep terrain.
Although the crew of the alarmed emergency helicopter arrived quickly, all help unfortunately came too late. The 67-year-old suffered serious injuries that she died at the scene of the accident.
The woman’s body was recovered and then taken to the valley.
