“My client and his friend had a nice evening together, they went out together. Then he crossed the border,” explains lawyer Hermann Holzmann, “he sexually abused the woman. The 26-year-old, who is innocent, confessed. “Immediately after the crime, he wrote to the victim to apologize. He behaved exemplary afterwards,” says the lawyer.

The suspect was sentenced to two years in prison. “Of this 18 months have been suspended, the probation period is three years. The remaining six months were converted into an unconditional fine of 360 daily rates of 30 euros each – a total of 10,800 euros,” reveals Andreas Stutter, spokesman for the Innsbruck Regional Court.
