3 men in custody – Leoben: Woman is dragged into a room and raped

Date:

In early September, two men attacked a defenseless victim during a party in an apartment in Leoben, Styria. Three men are now in custody and the Public Prosecution Service is investigating.

Scenes like the worst nightmare became reality in early September for a young woman in Leoben: she was having a party in an apartment with some guests. According to information from the “Steirerkrone” there was probably a lot of alcohol present there and there was also talk of drugs.

Three men are in custody
During the party, the woman was suddenly harassed by three men and dragged into a room. Two of them allegedly attacked and raped her. Without the slightest chance of escaping martyrdom. “I can confirm that three men have been arrested and are in custody at Leoben Prison. The investigation is still ongoing,” said prosecutor Andreas Riedler when asked by the “Steirerkronae”.

The suspects who are considered direct perpetrators have confessed to the facts. However, they deny the rape and say that everything happened with the consent of those affected. A fourth man, who is also said to have been in the apartment, has also been targeted by the Public Prosecution Service and the police. Although he did not participate in the crime, he did not attempt to prevent it. He is at large.

Irritation about judgment
Recently, a Styrian (22) who raped a woman at an Easter party got away with a mini-sentence of 30 months in prison (ten of which are mandatory).
