A case in Switzerland shows that domestic work can be dangerous. There, a woman had to be freed with a hacksaw after she got stuck in the shower while cleaning. The Swiss woman had her fingers in the drain and was unable to free herself from her situation.
When she called for help, she heard a neighbor alert the police. This gave access to the apartment in Winterthur near Zurich and the woman was found in the shower. Because neither the officials nor the paramedics were able to free the Swiss woman, they called the fire service for help, the city police reported Thursday.

The firefighters eventually cut the drain and used it to rescue the woman from the shower. She was unharmed in the incident.
