A month ago, a bloody act shook St. Florian am Inn in Upper Austria. Around 11 p.m., 31-year-old Simona F. grabbed a Stanley knife and stabbed her husband Patrick, who was already asleep. She partially slit the 40-year-old’s throat. The couple’s 13-year-old daughter called for rescue. Patrick F. underwent emergency surgery in Passau.
Since the dramatic incident at the home of the couple, who have four children of their own and also care for a foster child, an investigation into attempted murder has been ongoing. Petra Stranzinger of the public prosecutor’s office Ried: “An order has been placed for expert advice, including a psychiatric report from Primaria Heidi Kastner and a toxicological report on the blood of the woman and also of the victim, which we requested from Passau.”
Dispute should have been cause for action
You cannot be charged until all reports are available. The woman’s statement that a dispute had preceded the crime quickly turned out to be a protection claim.
