Three young men trying to break into a mosque in Braunau were spotted by a neighbor who called the police. The three were caught in the act and arrested.
A 17-year-old from Braunau, an 18-year-old Russian who also lives in Braunau, and a 17-year-old Romanian from Ranshofen tried to break into a mosque in Braunau shortly before 6 p.m. on September 4. The three attempted to enter through a rear window.
Witness raised the alarm
However, this attempt was spotted by an alert neighbor who alerted the police, allowing the three to be caught red-handed by the officers. The suspects confessed during the interrogation – they will be reported to the public prosecutor.
