Presenting the call, the unions denounced “the digital divide in public health, austerity and privatization” and demanded “more investment, strengthening primary care, care for the most vulnerable and decent working conditions”.
The union federations pointed out that since the last day of the strike in all areas of Osakidetza, the Ministry of Health “has not taken any steps to reverse the dire situation in which the public health system finds itself”.
For this reason, they called for “real” negotiations and announced that if the health ministry “does not take steps”, they will not rejoin the sectoral table and the protests will continue.
In addition to the strike, the unions have organized demonstrations at 12:00 in Bilbao, San Sebastián and Vitoria-Gasteiz
