The Michelin factory in Vitoria will partially suspend tire production this weekend, due to the “disturbing” drop in sales. The break lasts six days over three weekends in September and October.
The changes affect: 1100 workers and workers, almost one third of the total workforcewho takes the stop with a bag full of hours.
The company justifies the partial suspension by: the decline in tire demand. In addition to the production of wheels for passenger cars, the downtime will also affect the production line of small tires for civil works.
