Spectacular accidents Friday in Ehrwald in the Ausserfern region of Tyrol: A German (60) landed her car upside down in the River Loisach after being rammed by a compatriot’s car (46) on the B187. Late in the evening, a 32-year-old – also a German – collided with the local railway viaduct with full force.
The first accident happened around 5.45 pm: the 46-year-old German skidded on the B187 Ehrwalder Straße and collided with the oncoming car of the compatriot. The 60-year-old’s car went over the edge of the road and came to a stop against the adjacent bed of the Loisach, where it came to rest lying on the roof.
Bad luck with bad luck: According to the police, both women should have survived the accident unharmed. However, the damage to the vehicles was enormous.

Shortly before midnight the second serious accident – again on the B187: a 32-year-old lost control of the wheel for unknown reasons and hit the Ehrwald railway viaduct with full force.
The German sustained injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Reutte district hospital after receiving first aid at the accident site.
