Steering wheel fell down – after a crash: vintage tractor without driver on the road

Date:

An unusual accident happened on Saturday in Seefeld in Tyrol: an 84-year-old driver touched a vintage tractor while overtaking, after which the driver (62) fell from the vehicle and drove without a driver.

The accident happened around noon. The 84-year-old German was driving his car from Leutasch towards Seefeld when he overtook a vintage tractor.

Another classic car overlooked
However, he overlooked that there was another old tractor in front of this vehicle. The car then hit the tires of the classic car. “The driver, a 62-year-old resident of the area, fell from the tractor and suffered minor injuries,” police said.

According to the investigators, the tractor may have fallen over due to the impact, but then stood up again thanks to “articulated steering”. The vehicle then drove stationary down the street.

Driver with rescue in the clinic
Finally, the injured 62-year-old was able to stop the tractor. After first aid, the man was taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.
