Incredible scenes had taken place in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus on Wednesday morning. Two youths had harassed a homeless man (35) in a subway hall for no reason. When he fought back, the situation escalated.
According to the police, the 35-year-old was said to have been sleeping on the floor at the entrance to the Johnstrasse metro station when the two young people suddenly tried to wake him up. When they didn’t stop harassing him, he fought back and an argument broke out.
Stabbed in the left leg
Suddenly, one of the two teens pulled out a knife and stabbed the 35-year-old in the left leg. Shortly afterwards, the youths fled to the subway and drove off. Observant witnesses immediately alerted the emergency services. The victim suffered unknown injuries and was taken to hospital.
An immediately started search has so far been unsuccessful. Further investigation is carried out by the responsible detectives.
