On a sex date, a man from Linz is said to have been robbed by three brothers from Romania. “I have nothing to do with a robbery. I went because I wanted to use cocaine,” said one of the alleged perpetrators (33) during the trial in Linz. Like his brother in the spring, he was convicted on Friday.
The meeting with the brothers, which he arranged via the ‘Planet Romeo’ app, became a nightmare for the young man from Linz. He also felt visibly uncomfortable with the statements made in the two proceedings in Linz. His “flame”, a 27-year-old Romanian, appeared with two brothers – according to the charges they threatened their victim with a knife and stole his debit card, an iPhone with pin and code and 300 euros.
“Perfider Plan”
Prosecutor Doris Fiala suspects a treacherous plan behind the attack by the perpetrators: It is hoped that the victims are ashamed because they have made a (gay) sexual date and will not file a report.
One perpetrator is still on the run
The main defendant (27) was sentenced to six years in prison in the spring. Despite denial, his brother was sentenced Friday to three and a half years in prison. The verdict is not yet legally binding. The court in Linz would even have to deal with the robbery a third time, because the third brother is still on the run.
