The center, promoted by the Provincial Council and the City Council of Bilbao with the cooperation of the Basque government, opens its doors after seven years of proceedings. About 30 large companies, including Google for start-up, and 40 start-ups are already working in the center.

The Center for International Entrepreneurshiplocated in the Torre Bizkaia in Bilbao, has started the 80% of his occupied space, so that it is already decided his magnification early next year, as announced by the deputy general of Bizkaia, Unai Rementeria.
The center, called B Accelerator Tower (BAT), was inaugurated this Monday in an act attended by the main Basque authorities and representatives of the companies that will manage it (Price Waterhouse Coopers, Talent Garden and Impact Hub).
The Provincial Council and the City Council of Bilbao, the two fostering institutions, aim to make it a core of entrepreneurship and innovation to incubate and accelerate new technology start-ups. The center opens its doors after a seven-year journey and amid criticism of “the lack of transparency” about which companies will settle.
The BAT currently covers four floors of the Torre Bizkaia -the old BBVA skyscraper in the center of Bilbao- and will be expanded according to Rementeria to other fourafter some works will start in 2023.
About thirty large companies and organizations are already connected to the center, the newest Google for startupas announced today, and there are 40 “start-ups” in the building.
