No way out: – “Cheating is cheating, even AI doesn’t help.”

Date:

“Schools are not isolated UFOs. Instead, all the world’s knowledge ends up in our classrooms,” said Viennese education director Heinrich Himmer (SPÖ) in an exciting TV interview on krone.tv: “There is the traditional textbook, but also digital information. It’s the mix that makes it.”

The Viennese education director also makes a clear statement about the current technical competence of our children and young people: “AI is generally more widespread among students than among teachers.” But that does not mean that it will be easier to get through school: “The basic rules of the school remain unchanged: cheating is cheating. The AI doesn’t help either.”

Himmer also outlines the implementation of the national school change campaign “Klasse.Job”: people from the professional field would be sought for this, including retirees. “But we don’t force anyone to look at us.” The challenge of suddenly standing in front of 25 to 30 students is great. Therefore, ambitious career changers need to be supported and supported for a longer period of time when starting their new job.

In the video above you can see many more details, such as how up to date the current curriculum is and how the school situation works in Vienna.
