A minibus collided with a Citybahn in Waidhofen ad Ybbs in Lower Austria on Tuesday evening. The car was stuck between the train, the platform and a semaphore. The doors no longer opened.
The collision occurred shortly before 7 p.m. at an intersection at the local train station in the statutory town of Mostviertler. The fire brigade has removed the mast with an angle grinder and hydraulic rescue scissors, the district commander Amstetten reports.
The door of the minibus was opened with a spreader. The motorist from the Amstetten district was then able to get out himself. The 25-year-old suffered minor injuries, police said.
The train was pulled by a rail car. The fire brigade has recovered the minibus.
