With sustainability to victory! As reported, kronehit put the spotlight on five climate-friendly communities in Austria for a week. The intriguing question: who is really going to tackle climate protection and energy conservation and how? Wörgl, Obervellach, Weistrach, St. Valentin and Ollersdorf took on the challenge of the kronehit community and mastered a wide range of tasks. In the end, Weistrach raised 10,000 euros in Lower Austria for the next climate project!
Approach, collaborate and perform tasks without emissions? At the kronehit community challenge, the largest private radio station in the state showcased communities already implementing innovative climate protection and sustainability projects – and challenged citizens right on the spot!
Weistrach voted winner with a creative zero-emission challenge
The cohesion of the whole community was required. In the end, all of Austria voted for Weistrach, who carried out their task in a particularly creative way:
Completely emission-free, without touching the ground, crossing the whole place? No problem for Weistrach in Lower Austria! The citizens proved this on the third day of the kronehit community challenge. The mission: to move the “community VIP” through the city without it moving under its own power or touching the ground – using at least three means of transport.
The brave completion of the task and enough votes from the kronehit community from all over the country finally brought the victory for the Lower Austrian community!
On October 7, Weistrach can look forward to a hard-earned 10,000 euros for the implementation of the next climate project – handed over personally by a kronehit moderator who, together with the kronehit pickup, will create a cheering atmosphere on the spot.
