A father of two was killed on Saturday by a falling tree while working in his forest in Schildorn. There was no rescue for the 49-year-old.
The 49-year-old was engaged in logging in his forest in Wolfersberg, Schildorn municipality, from 9 a.m. on Saturday. When felling an ash tree about 12 inches thick, it fell on him and the man suffered fatal injuries.

A 67-year-old retiree looked after the 49-year-old because he hadn’t come to dinner and discovered the victim at 11:40 a.m.
