The PNV MEP Izaskun Bilbao has asked the European Commission to take measures so that France can implement “on time”. the connection of the Basque Y to the French high-speed network.

In a question to the Commission, Bilbao pointed out that France has again set aside this railway by not including it in the planned investments.

The representative of Jeltzale recalled that in the latest review of TEN-T, the trans-European transport network, this connection was european priority. That is why she has asked Brussels to take timely measures and warned of the consequences that delays in meeting the European climate targets could have.

The MEP is confident that “sooner rather than later this situation will be corrected”.
