Pace 100 question – climate activists stayed on the ring again

Date:

Activists of the ‘last generation’ glued themselves again early Monday morning near Schottentor station on the ring road, bringing traffic to a halt in the middle of rush hour.

The protesters called on the federal government “in times of record inflation and climate chaos to finally focus on sensible austerity measures – such as 100 km/h on the autobahn”.

“I can no longer watch this destruction of fossils, this destruction of our livelihoods. Week after week I’m going to fight the fossil fuel madness until this government finally introduces 100 km/h. Climate collapse scares me much more than punishment and jail time,” said Martha Krumpeck, co-founder of Last Generation.
