Incredible scenes unfolded in the middle of Innsbruck on Sunday: a 42-year-old resident stole a forklift from a construction site, drove onto the street and then directly approached a passerby with a pram. The suspect was arrested during a manhunt. He then released his aggression towards the officers.
There is nothing that does not exist – and that is not stolen. The best proof of this is the incident in Innsbruck, which happened shortly after noon on Sunday. A 42-year-old Austrian marched to a construction site, started a forklift without permission and drove it onto a public road.
woman and child in danger
As if the theft of the construction vehicle wasn’t enough, according to police, the suspect also endangered a woman with a pram by approaching the passer-by and her child. The man then parked the forklift on the side of the road and fled.
But this was short-lived. The police were able to quickly investigate and confront the 42-year-old during a house search. “During the official act, the man behaved increasingly aggressively towards the intervening officers, after which he had to be detained for the time being,” the detectives continue.
After the investigations have been completed, the relevant reports are made to the responsible authorities.
