Sister betrayed him – 18-year-old kills his own cat and calls the police

Date:

Terrible suspicion against an 18-year-old: he allegedly killed his own cat with a long “battle knife” while he was drunk. He initially appeared innocent to the police and stated that this is how he found his cat. His own sister then aroused suspicion of the younger.

On Monday, police officers in Steyr, Upper Austria, were called to a residential building after an 18-year-old’s cat had been murdered there. On arrival, the young man was found sitting on the floor in front of the house with his cat in his arms, which was bleeding profusely. The 18-year-old, who was visibly agitated and clearly heavily intoxicated, told officers he had walked his 13-week-old cat out of the apartment in the morning.

When he returned from shopping around 10pm, he found his cat badly injured behind the apartment building and alerted the police. The police notified animal control, who could only determine the cat’s death.

30 centimeters long “combat knife”
A short time later, police were sent to the address again after the 18-year-old’s sister called 911 and said she suspected he killed his cat himself. Due to heavy alcohol use, aggressive behavior and the fact that the 18-year-old was in possession of multiple knives and axes, the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG41) was called in to support the official action.

The suspect was then arrested by SIG agents in his apartment on Tuesday at 1.30 am and transferred to the Linz police station. The murder weapon, a “combat knife” about a foot long, was secured. Several axes, combat knives and machetes were also seized. A temporary firearms ban was imposed.
