Police in Kufstein, Tyrol, have now been able to stop two rabid women. The two suspects (aged 27 and 31) allegedly attacked and injured a taxi driver with a baseball bat late Thursday night. The attack was preceded by a dispute over a trifle.
Thursday evening around 10:15 pm in Kaiserbergstrasse in Kufstein: The 39-year-old taxi driver was attacked by two initially unknown persons and injured with a baseball bat. The woman had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. The attackers fled after a passerby stopped them from hitting them further.
Female duo exposed for clues
It turned out that the alleged perpetrators were women. “Following clues, two Austrians, aged 27 and 31, were identified as suspects,” the investigators said.
Disabled when parking
The motive? The two women reportedly wanted to park a car and were hindered by the taxi. After an initial argument, there would have been punches and eventually bat attacks.
Softshell, hard core
Speaking of baseball bats, as one official told the “Krone,” it was covered in foam, but had “a hard core.” The woman’s injuries — including bruises on her back — likely came from the racket. This was secured.
The two suspects will be reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Innsbruck after the investigation has been completed.
