The police are now investigating the 25-year-old driver of the 23-year-old Romanian, who was reportedly killed by a customer (34) in an apartment in Ternberg in Upper Austria at the end of September. The man is said not only to have controlled the illegally active prostitute, but also to have been her pimp.
According to Steyr’s public prosecutor’s office, summary proceedings are underway against the 25-year-old driver of the murder victim Ana Maria D. He would have driven the 23-year-old Romanian to the later crime scene. The call girl is said to have engaged in illegal prostitution.
Outstanding opinion
The 34-year-old main suspect, Andreas M. from Ternberg, is still in custody. As reported, the psychiatric report and a report on the exact level of alcohol consumption during the crime are still pending.
Investigations against police officers?
The responsible public prosecutor in Steyr has yet to decide whether to investigate police officers accused by a Viennese lawyer of having responded too late to emergency calls. The Federal Office for Preventing and Combating Corruption already has a report on this.
