One dead, three injured, some seriously – that’s the result of a head-on collision Friday evening in Ottnang am Hausruck in Upper Austria.
Why the two cars collided on Tanzbodenstrasse in Ottnang am Hausruck just before 9:30 p.m. has not yet been fully clarified. A car, a station wagon, was badly damaged on the street – for the driver, a 69-year-old from Ohlsdorf, all help came too late.
The second car, which was carrying three people – the driver (80) and two passengers (82, 83), all from the town of Vöcklabruck – was catapulted into a meadow. The prisoners survived and were cared for by the Red Cross and an emergency doctor at the scene and then taken to Vöcklabruck Hospital.
The road was reopened two and a half hours later.
