The Government Gazette of Navarra has published calls to make 137 forest firefighter positions permanent, which will be covered through competition on merit and as part of the process to reduce temporary employment. In addition, 17 places have also been published in other vacancies.

The vacancies include 87 emergency firefighters, 50 emergency firefighter drivers, 15 secondary school graduates and 2 medical positions.

The provincial government emphasizes that the 137 fire stations correspond to the extinction of forest fires in the summer and winter campaigns, which means that for the first time 70% of the total positions, which in the past have been in a situation of transience.

These calls are part of the process launched by the province to reduce temporary employment and which aims to make up to 3,626 temporary employment places in the administration permanent, a procedure that has already been started for 1,013 places ( 28%).
