Late Monday evening, a resident of a multi-party apartment building in Klagenfurt heard strange noises at the door of the neighboring apartment. Burglar? She alerted the police, who were carrying out a large-scale operation.
9:12 PM: A neighbor hears someone trying to break open an apartment door with a crowbar. She immediately notifies the police, who arrive with several emergency services vehicles and surround the house in Klagenfurt-Feschnig. This prevented the officers from escaping the two suspects.
Suspects were armed
Two Klagenfurt (36 and 31) have been arrested. Burglary tools, several knives and a pistol were found on them. A temporary firearms ban has also been issued. The men are detained and are reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Klagenfurt.
Whether the duo could be responsible for more break-ins is also under investigation, an official said.
