Standstill on the public transport rails in the Hernals district of Vienna on Tuesday afternoon: due to a power failure at the Dornbach stop, lines 2 and 43 were temporarily out of order, and line 10 was also affected.
As the Wiener Linien announced, a power outage at the Dornbach stop led to the problems. As pictures show, several tramcars came to a stop on the rails in both directions – traffic obstructions included.
Lines 2 and 43 towards Dornbach and Neuwaldegg were temporarily served via Johann-Nepomuk-Berger-Platz, as was line 10 towards Dornbach via Maroltingergasse. After the malfunction was resolved, there were sometimes longer waiting times on the lines.
