Where is the accident site? In Hinterstoder (Upper Austria) it was difficult to locate the victims on Wednesday night – their car had fallen 80 meters in a free fall.
Shortly before 11 p.m., the fire brigade, ambulance and police received an emergency call. But the information about the accident site was unclear and the helpers drove off the toll road – initially nothing was discovered.
Only the second time did the firefighters see tracks leading to the Höss at a “Drei Zinnen hairpin” that led into the forest: 80 meters below was a car that had crashed off a rocky hill and was then stopped by a tree.
One person was standing next to the car and another was trapped. Together with the Red Cross, they were liberated and then with the help of the mountain rescue service, the victims were rescued and taken to hospital. The car will be picked up on Wednesday.
