In August, a 17-year-old from Salzburg raced along the western highway at almost 200 km/h. Police stopped him near Ansfelden and seized his vehicle. On November 20, the VW Passat became the first vehicle in Upper Austria to finally be sold under the new speed law – for a modest 2000 euros.
