A brutal attack took place in Wattens (Tirol) on Tuesday evening. A motorist (51) is said to have pushed a motorcyclist (47) off the road after an argument and then attacked him with a baseball bat. Both are now in hospital.
Wild scenes probably occurred in the vicinity of the Mitterweg around 9.30 pm. A 51-year-old motorist attacked his colleague (48) and hit his helmet several times with a baseball bat. The motorcyclist suffered only minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Hall. The attacker also appeared in hospital moments later with a serious spinal injury.
According to the police, an argument preceded the brutal attack. The 51-year-old initially chased the motorcyclist and then pushed him off the road on the northern bypass before falling. The motorcyclist then had to push and knock down his colleague. The 51-year-old then blew all fuses and grabbed the baseball bat in his vehicle. The hearings of the two parties involved will take place in the course of Wednesday.
