After a large-scale search for a disabled ten-year-old and her carer (26) in the Netherlands, the police discovered a car with two bodies in a body of water near the city of Den Bosch. Noticeable skid marks on the side of the road had led officials to the site. There is “every reason to believe” that these are the two missing persons.
Ten-year-old Hebe was picked up Monday evening by her 26-year-old caregiver Sanne from her daycare center in the southern town of Raamsdonksveer to drive her home.
The two were last seen in a black car on the A59 highway between Raamsdonksveer, near the Belgian border, and Vught, where the girl lives. “What exactly happened is still the subject of the police investigation,” said the police spokesperson.
About 100 emergency services, a helicopter and sniffer dogs were involved in the search for the girl and her nurse on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hundreds of tips had come in to the management and around 10 p.m. the car was finally found.
Ten-year-old Hebe required 24-hour care due to her disability. The mayor of Hebe’s hometown expressed his dismay at the accident. The investigations are underway.
