For the first time since January 8, 2022, the number of new infections has fallen below 10,000. In Austria, exactly 8033 new cases have been reported in the past 24 hours (as of Monday 9.30 am). 16 other people infected with the virus died.
So far there are 3,995,418 positive test results in Austria. By 9:30 a.m., 16,242 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection had died across Austria and 3,799,939 had recovered.
A week ago, the number of new infections was 12,307. On Monday at 9.30 am, 15 patients were added to the intensive care unit of the hospitals (a total of 206). The occupancy rate in the regular departments has fallen again. The total number of people treated in hospitals with Covid-19 disease is 2,497.
