Vienna’s shopping centers are currently being demonized as real heat poles and energy guzzlers – the “Krone” stopped at the Auhofcenter after numerous reports and put it to the test.

However, with a local inspection by the “Krone” in Penzing, the situation is not so difficult. Although the light sources in the shops heat various items – from toys to clothing – to an insane 30 degrees, the ambient temperature is just “bearable” at 22 degrees Celsius.
“Of course it’s nice to be able to leave your coat in the car. At home, however, the regulator is only set to 19 degrees, which would probably be sufficient here,” emphasizes visitor Bocena F. from Meidling.
