The company Alava tubacex has achieved a profit of 20.3 million euros in the first nine months of 2022, which the company says confirms a “progressive recovery” after losses of 36.3 million euros in the same period last year.
The company located in the city llodio this Thursday, results between January and September were presented to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), confirming that Tubacex will close this year with higher-than-expected earnings. Gross operating income (EBITDA) rose to 67.3 million, with pre-tax profits of 20.3 million, which the company believes reflects its “competitiveness and resilience” in a high inflation environment like the current one. In addition, quarter-on-quarter EBITDA was 24.8 million, the highest since the last quarter of 2007.
The turnover, with a value of 527.1 million, double what was achieved in the same period last year and the good pace of order intake continues, allowing the portfolio to remain above 1,500 million, the highest in Tubacex history.
The CEO of Tubacex, Jesus Esmoris, explained that while the macroeconomic environment is very complicated, the company’s destination sectors are currently expanding. In addition, he emphasized that the results reflect the “progressive recovery” of all units of the group, “thanks to the cost reduction plan implemented globally”.
With an eye to the future, Tubacex develops specific solutions for CO2 capture and storage projects and has new projects in unusual areas such as Turkey, Suriname, Tanzania and Namibia.
