Halloween deductible: – 200 young people rioted in the center of Linz

Date:

Halloween surplus in Linz! Desert scenes played out on All Saints’ Night in the heart of downtown Linz. 200 youths rioted for hours, throwing fireworks and glass bottles at passers-by and police officers. There were 130 reports and nine arrests. Bad: The riot was no accident, it was made up. It was announced 19 hours in advance on TikTok that there would be an “Athena 2.0” in Linz. It is about a Netflix film that shows a street war in a French banlieu, or slum, between young people and the police.

At 9:08 PM the first emergency call came that young people were throwing fireworks on the Taubenmarkt, sometimes uncontrollably in the crowd. There was talk of 200 people. Eight stripes were ordered there, but the youths still threw fireworks. At 9.30 pm the mood changed and the police were heavily harassed.

Attacked with glass bottles
At 10 pm the Taubenmarkt was completely emptied, during the eviction the officials threw fireworks and glass bottles. Tram traffic came to a halt.

“All available troops from the Linz area are currently deployed in the city center,” the police said at around 10:15 p.m. The entire highway was closed during the operation.

130 allegations of serious community violence
The record: 130 identity checks, 130 searches, 130 disturbances, 130 reports of serious municipal violence and nine arrests. Six for aggressive behavior, three for disorder.

That’s what the mayor of Linz . says
The excesses caused by masked chaotic people make Linz Mayor Klaus Luger take a clear stand: “Linz is a safe city where violence and riots have no place. The police will do everything they can to track down the culprits. For me, such developments must be contained by all police and legal means from the outset. In Linz there is zero tolerance towards violent people, whatever their motives!”

That’s what the City Security Council says
“We want to live in a hometown where everyone can feel safe and comfortable. There should be no indulgence or reconciliation in the face of such violence. After the shocking photos of yesterday’s riots in the center of Linz, we cannot go back to normalcy,” said Michael Raml (FPÖ), councilor for security. According to statements by passers-by, there were apparently dozens of young men with a migration background who had apparently agreed to revolt on the Taubenmarkt.

“Let’s get straight to the point: this incredible incident shows once again that uncontrolled immigration is causing our city many serious problems. Given the current asylum situation, as Councilor for Security, I am clearly against taking any more asylum seekers in the capital. Thursday is there is a current hour in the city council about the housing of asylum seekers. We liberals have also submitted a motion in which the city politicians of Linz speak out against the further admission of asylum seekers. Yesterday’s riots prove the need for a clear statement from the city council that the measure in Linz is already overflowing,” explains Raml.
