Shocking detail about the alleged child murder in Salzburg: The emergency services were not notified by the father until hours after the crime. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old mother is undergoing a psychiatric examination.
Ten days after seven-week-old Elias was apparently shaken to death, investigators are working to clear up the case.
Another shocking detail has now been revealed: the baby is said to have died at 12:12 am just hours before the father sounded the alarm. Police officers are currently questioning the parents’ environment, i.e. friends and family. The prosecutor’s office hopes that the accompanying report will provide more information about the tragic case.
As reported, Elias died of serious injuries in his bed on October 22 in a small apartment in the Riedenburg district of Salzburg. The mother is suspected of murder and is incarcerated. However: Even the father is not off the hook yet. Her lawyer Kurt Jelinek is convinced: “He didn’t do anything to the child!”
A psychiatric report is expected to be prepared for the 19-year-old mother. It is believed that the young mother may have had postpartum depression.
