The police in Erfurt, Germany, were confronted with a bizarre operation on Sunday evening. A concerned citizen alerted the emergency number – the rushing officials found no emergency.
When alerted, the passerby explained that a woman had been tied to a branch by a man in Erfurt’s Nordpark and was likely no longer “in control of her senses,” as officials reported. She would also have feared that the woman would immediately become unconscious.

But there was relief on site: the 24-year-old had herself tied to the tree by her 31-year-old partner with several ropes and belts and said it was just a frivolous love game. The two then wanted to take pictures of the scene, they explained.
It is a special form of bondage, called bondage, that has become the couple’s passion, they emphasized. Because they could credibly assure officials that they would exercise their preferences less publicly in the future, the two only got off with a warning.
