In Austria, 8651 new corona infections have been registered in the past 24 hours (from Tuesday 9.30 am). However, the death toll is very high: 44 other people infected with the virus died. The number of patients in hospitals decreased.
As a result, the number of new infections continues to fall – 12,946 new cases were reported a week ago – but the number of daily tests is also falling.
The number of corona patients in intensive care units fell by 14. Currently, 192 people infected with the virus require intensive medical care. However, the death toll is high: 44 people died in the last 24 hours, so far 16,286 corona deaths have been reported across Austria.
