A bull initially escaped slaughter on Friday, but as there was danger to him and the people on the road and he couldn’t be caught, he had to be killed.
Before being slaughtered on Friday morning, a bull ran away from a farm in the Völkermarkt district. It was seen in the area of Seebergstraße in the municipality of Aich, moved west to a forest, where visual contact was lost.
Danger from traffic on the road
The Cobra task force was warned about the danger of road traffic. Officials were able to locate the bull. However, since it was not possible to capture or otherwise get hold of it, and because the consequences of continuing the flight could not be assessed, the escaped animal was eventually shot.
