“We want to make it clear that everything referenced It is nothing more than a criminalization strategy who exercise various powers to crush those who actively participated in the Tubacex strike and exercised their right to defend their jobs,” denounced LAB.
The employee who has to go to court on Monday also received the support of workers from other sectors.
On September 30, 2021, the management of Tubacex and the works council concluded an agreement that put an end to a long-term labor dispute. The workers of the factories in Llodio and Amurrio went on strike for 232 days. The deal allowed all layoffs to be suspended, guaranteeing jobs and investment until 2024 in return for a series of austerity measures.
