At least 12 buses of the company EMB – concession company of the regional bus network Bizkaibus on the left bank and mining zone – appeared this morning with graffiti on the garages of Aparkabisa, in the valley of Trápaga. As a result, several services have been affected, including the line connecting Bilbao to the University of Leioa.
Bizkaibus employees are being called on today to strike for a new agreement. At least according to the CCOO union 80 buses are affected by the graffiti, but the security department assures that the sabotaged vehicles are 12.
For its part, Bizkaibus has reported that “due to a bus boycott” on the left bank, “many services have been unable to leave.” The sabotaged buses have graffiti on the windshield that reads “Convenio ya!”.

The EMB Bizkaibus enterprise committee, led by CCOO, called a 13-day strike between October and November to demand an agreement with “at least” pay increases in line with the CPI.
The union assures that the strikes are also intended to expose the immobility of both the company and the Bizkaia Provincial Council in order to extend the agreement. EMB SA has 500 employees and is the most staffed concessionaire within Bizkaibus, the public road passenger transport service of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
The strike days started on October 25 and are carried out with interruptions of 2 hours per shift. After the stoppages on October 27 and November 3, they will continue today and on November 10, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 25, 28 and 29. At the moment there are 13 days of strikes, but if there is no progress in the negotiations, the commission will intensify the mobilizations with an indefinite strike.
