Labor Minister Martin Kocher (ÖVP) tested positive for the corona virus on Wednesday. So far, he has had only mild symptoms, his spokeswoman said.
After a person close to his family tested positive on Friday, the Labor Minister has since conducted his professional activities from home and monitored his health with tests.
Recently, other top Austrian politicians, such as Minister of the Family Susanne Raab (ÖVP) and the Vienna City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker (SPÖ), also tested positive for the corona virus. Finance Minister Magnus Brunner (ÖVP) and NEOS boss Beate Meinl-Reisinger also received a positive test result in March. Fortunately, they all had mild to no symptoms.
