On Tuesday there was a serious traffic accident on the B4 in Hausleiten (Lower Austria) with a total of five injured. A woman from Vienna (72) was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to the police, the 72-year-old had hit the oncoming car of a 38-year-old with her car and collided head-on with the car of a 27-year-old from Tulln. The 27-year-old, the 38-year-old and his passengers – a 40-year-old and a one-year-old child – suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Stuck in the car
The 72-year-old from Vienna-Penzing and the 38-year-old from the Horn district were trapped in their vehicles after the accident in the late afternoon and had to be freed by the fire brigade. The pensioner was treated at the University Hospital in Krems. The other injured, including the small child, were transported to the State Hospital Korneuburg.
