Violent accident Thursday night on the A12 near Kundl (Kufstein district)! A German (58) left the road with his car and collided with several trees. He and his wife were seriously injured.
The 58-year-old German drove east on the Inntalautobahn with his wife (47) in his car. Around 2:30 a.m. he went over the right side of the road into the ditch. The vehicle struck several trees and eventually became stuck. Both occupants were able to get out of the car on their own.
“According to the driver, he wanted to avoid a small animal,” the police said about the possible cause of the accident. The couple was seriously injured in the accident and was transported by ambulance to Kufstein Hospital. The Kramsach volunteer fire brigade deployed 18 men to secure and recover the vehicle. The first lane was closed until just before 4 a.m.
