Long prison sentence for a man from Montenegro who mediated with a crypto mobile phone. And all kinds of drugs on a large scale. He juggled the drug between suppliers, transporters and dispatchers – and made money from deals.
So-called tap-proof “crypto cell phones” aren’t as secure as the 53-year-old apparently supposed – otherwise he probably wouldn’t be in the dock in Feldkirch (Vorarlberg) as a member of a criminal organization in the international drug trade.
Juggling kilos of drugs
“Coke dealer” takes on a slightly different meaning in the approaching winter months – but that’s exactly what he would have been according to the indictment: 41 kilograms of cocaine, 60 kilograms of marijuana, two kilograms of hashish and four kilograms of amphetamine (“Speed”) that he allegedly had transported between suppliers and carriers and dispatchers juggling back and forth.
The Montenegrin was informed of the storage location and the price per kilo, and he offered the available amount of drugs for sale or sale to end users. He had earned – as with legal brokerage transactions – when the deals came about.
Strange chats after phone repair
The suspect (lawyer Roland Friis) denies the allegations. The encrypted mobile phone? Had he bought it quite legally, but it would have worked so badly in Switzerland. And after the repair, there were such weird conversations with contacts that he never would have had. The prosecutor says fairytale hour – and refers to FBI investigations including photos.
Conclusion: eleven years in prison, not final.
