In the Tyrolean town of Kufstein, two would-be car thieves were up to mischief this weekend: the duo apparently wanted to get away with two unlocked cars, but couldn’t get the vehicles to work. The men then tried to smash the windows of three other vehicles. But that didn’t work either. The two suspects were eventually caught by the police.
The two local residents, aged 18 and 20, wanted to go for a spin on Saturday evening between 8 and 12 p.m. With cars they don’t own, mind you! “They tried to start two cars that were not locked in Kufstein, but they did not succeed,” the police said. The vehicles were damaged as a result of the desperate attempts to start.
Detained on the spot by the police
But that’s not all: the suspects allegedly tried to break into the rear and side windows of three other cars. Again in vain. The men were eventually approached on the spot by the alarmed police. It is not known what “went” into the two and drove them to it.
After completion of the investigation, the duo will be released.
